I used it to record some vocal, footsteps, breathing, and windy weather soundscapes. I used my feet towards the quilt to simulate the sound of walking and falling in the snow. I will be using this materials in my work.
This was my first time using the Zoom H3 VR, and I liked it because it was portable and had a nice spatial soundscape. I was able to record the sound of any action I wanted to do just by holding it in my own hand, unlike some recording devices that always require multiple people to collaborate.
I also tried using a Sennheiser MKH418 to record the same materials in MS Stereo way, but I don’t think it was as effective as the Zoom H3 VR, so I probably won’t be using that part in the production.
