For the arrangement of ‘Sun Dog’, I chose to make it into long lines, chanting, pilgrimage-like effect. It is deliberately choreographed very haphazardly in some parts, as the protagonist in the story is enduring extreme cold and torture, and his consciousness has tended to blur, but subconsciously follows God’s guidance with the conviction that he will be blessed. I tried to show this sacred and painful state of his mind by audio. One notably bright passage is when he sees three suns in the sky as he is about to fall. Although the historical record initially suggests that sun dogs were an unsettling sign, in my personal experience, exponentially more sunlight is supposed to be a more hopeful, non-realistic energy.
